KENNEDI LANDRY
Sports Journalist.
A BIT ABOUT ME
My name is Kennedi Landry. I'm a graduating senior in LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication, and I am a sports journalist. I have served as the sports editor and sports reporter of LSU's student newspaper, The Reveille.

I served as the sports editor for four semesters now and was the assistant sports editor for one semester previously. I began working for The Reveille in the spring of my freshman year in 2017, covering LSU softball and gymnastics. Since then, I have covered all three of LSU's majors sports, including working as the lead football writer for the past three years.

I have covered events like LSU football's 15-0 national championship winning season, as well as previous trips to the Fiesta and Citrus Bowls. I also covered other postseason events LSU gymnastics in the Super Six and LSU basketball in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

In addition to my work at The Reveille, I also do freelance work for various news organizations in Baton Rouge, La. I regularly cover high school sports and non-revenue LSU sports like women's basketball and softball for The Advocate BR. I also have bylines in TigerRag the Magazine and the Livingston Parish News.
I spent the summer of 2018 working as an editorial intern at ESPN, working specifically on ESPN.com and ESPN the Magazine. My time there allowed me to work within the editorial department of a large company. As an intern, I was able to editing and polishing articles for accuracy, balance, grammar and style. I was also able to work with writers and editor to develop unique stories across all platforms.

During the summer of 2019, I worked as an editorial intern for SB Nation and Vox Media in New York City. At SB Nation, I was able to cultivate a different style of writing than what is typical of today's journalism landscape. I was able to create unique content in order to enhance the fan experience.

I was born and raised in New Orleans, La. I graduated from St. Mary's Dominican High School in 2016 before moving to moving to Baton Rouge for college.
